Private Pilates classes in Poole

A private class is the fastest way to change how you move. One teacher, one body, full access to the reformer, tower, Wunda chair and mat, and an hour built entirely around what you need rather than what a group needs.

Private classes are £120. See pricing for packages.

Why people book one

The reasons that come up most

    Injury and rehab

    Working around something

Backs, shoulders, knees, hips. The springs let a teacher load a joint precisely and back off just as precisely, which is very hard to do in a group.

    Pregnancy and postnatal

    Through and after

Exercises adapt trimester by trimester, and the postnatal return is gradual and deliberate. Tell us where you are and we will build from there.

    Starting out

    Learning it properly first

An hour of undivided attention before your first group class means you arrive knowing the equipment, the cues and your own setup.

    Going deeper

    Unpicking one thing

Long-standing practitioners book privates to work on a specific exercise, a persistent compensation, or the apparatus repertoire beyond the reformer.

FAQ

Questions about private classes

  • What happens in a private class?

The first session is largely assessment: how you stand, how you move, what hurts and what you want from it. From there the teacher builds a plan and you work through it on the reformer, the tower, the Wunda chair or the mat, whichever suits.

  • Who are private classes for?

People returning from injury or surgery, people who are pregnant or newly postnatal, people managing a long-term condition, people preparing for something specific, and people who would simply rather not learn in a group.

  • Can two of us book together?

Yes. A duet works well for couples, friends or a parent and adult child, as long as you are working at broadly similar levels. Ask us and we will tell you honestly whether it will work.

  • Do I need to have done Pilates before?

No. A private class is one of the best possible starting points, because the whole hour is spent on your body rather than a room of six.

  • Can I do private classes alongside group classes?

That is the most common pattern. People take a private class every few weeks to work on something specific, and attend group reformer or matwork classes the rest of the time.

  • Can you work with my physiotherapist?

Yes. If you are under a physiotherapist, osteopath or consultant, bring their guidance and we will work within it. Our teachers are qualified Pilates teachers, not medical practitioners, so we teach to the brief rather than diagnose.
