With 32 years of experience, I am a fully qualified and highly experienced Pilates teacher and instructor trainer, passionate about helping others unlock their full potential through mindful movement.

At Parkstone Pilates Studio, my vision is embodied in a beautifully designed, state-of-the-art facility that offers an exceptional environment for both practice and personal growth. The studio features modern, top-of-the-line Pilates equipment, a spacious and sunlit workout area, and a calming ambiance that encourages focus and relaxation. Michelle

Michelle’s love of intelligent movement shines through everything she does. With a solid background in functional fitness and nearly two decades of teaching experience, she helps clients build bodies that feel stronger, move better and last longer.

Since earning her Stott-certified Matwork and Reformer diplomas in 2013, Michelle has continued to deepen her expertise with regular CPD workshops in mobility, small-props, pre/post-natal and osteoporosis-safe programming. She also draws on her ballet-barre qualification and her Level 3 Personal Trainer status (achieved in 2008) to keep sessions fresh, purposeful and unmistakably fun.

A keen runner who has notched up countless UK half-marathons—and stayed blissfully injury-free—Michelle practises what she preaches: Pilates is the secret weapon for resilient, balanced movement. Her classes blend precise alignment cues with flowing choreography, giving every client—from first-timers to seasoned athletes—the confidence to progress safely.

Oliver James

Oliver has studied with some of the great classical Pilates teachers of this generation and has been teaching Classical Pilates for over 12 years. With a deep respect for the original method and a passion for movement, he brings a wealth of knowledge across all Pilates equipment and exercises to create sessions that are both fun and challenging, yet always grounded in precision and purpose.

Specialising in a highly individualised approach, Oliver focuses on teaching each person what they need. He understands that every “body” is different, and tailors each exercise to suit the unique structure, goals, and abilities of each client. This thoughtful attention to detail ensures that every session is not only effective but also empowering and sustainable for long-term progress.
