Accreditation
Who accredits and endorses each course
Our courses are not all accredited by the same organisation, so we set it out plainly. Matwork is accredited by YMCA. The apparatus courses, Reformer, Tower and Chair, are accredited by Mbodies Training Academy.
Check which one applies to the course you are choosing, and ask us if you would like anything confirmed before you book.
The two routes
Matwork and apparatus are accredited separately
Matwork
Accredited by YMCA, endorsed by CIMSPA
Entry: A regular Pilates practice, and aged 18 or over.
Apparatus
Accredited by Mbodies Training Academy, endorsed by EMDUK

- Pilates Chair Instructor
- Combined Reformer & Tower
- Combined Reformer, Tower & Chair
Entry: Level 3 Pilates Matwork qualification.
Good to know
What to check before you book
- Only the Matwork course is accredited by YMCA. The Reformer, Tower and Chair courses are not YMCA courses.
- Every apparatus course needs a Level 3 Pilates Matwork qualification first.
- Successful completion depends on passing your assessment and is not guaranteed. Booking and cancellation terms are in our terms and conditions.
