From choosing your course to teaching your first class
Our blended-learning approach gives you the flexibility to study in your own time and at your own pace, with expert guidance and hands-on practical training throughout.
Here is exactly what happens, from the moment you choose a course to the day you are certified.
The journey
Seven steps, in order
Choose your course
Start with Level 3 Matwork, or if you already hold a Level 3 Matwork qualification, choose Reformer, Tower, Chair or a combined apparatus package. The courses page has the prices and what each one covers.
Book Now
Press Book Now on your course and pay by card. Book Now takes the full course price by card. Your place is confirmed when payment completes. There are no dates to pick at this point. If you would rather spread the cost, use Enquire Now instead: interest free instalments are available on request.
Choose your dates in your learner area
As soon as payment completes your learner area opens. That is where you choose the course dates that suit you from those on offer, so you book with confidence and then fit your training around your diary.
Learn online, in your own time
Work through your theory in the learner portal at your own pace, supported by your manuals, Anatomy and Physiology tests and your tutor.
Train face to face in Poole
Your workshops take place in our two dedicated studios in Poole: a matwork studio and a separate equipment studio. You practise on the apparatus you will teach on, with Dawn alongside you.
Assessment
You are assessed on what you have learned and on your teaching. Dawn supports you through your preparation.
Certification
When you successfully complete your assessment you receive your certification. Matwork is accredited by YMCA and endorsed by CIMSPA. Reformer, Tower and Chair are accredited by Mbodies Training Academy and endorsed by EMDUK.

Practical training
A fully equipped studio, and real teaching skills
Our face-to-face workshops give you the chance to put your knowledge into practice in a professional Pilates environment. You develop the essential skills needed to plan, deliver and evaluate effective Pilates sessions, preparing you for the realities of teaching.
Your training goes beyond leading a group class. You also learn how to design and deliver a structured 10-session programme for bespoke one-to-one clients, so you can work confidently with both groups and individuals.
We have two dedicated studios side by side in Poole, each equipped for its discipline. The equipment studio is set up for Reformer, Tower and other apparatus training, and the matwork studio is a purpose-designed space for matwork courses.
The pathway
Matwork first, then the apparatus
Step one
Level 3 Matwork
The foundation of every Pilates teaching career. All you need to start is a regular Pilates practice and to be aged 18 or over. Accredited by YMCA, endorsed by CIMSPA.
Step two
Reformer, Tower and Chair
Add the apparatus once you hold your Level 3 Matwork qualification. Take one course, or combine them in a package. Accredited by Mbodies Training Academy, endorsed by EMDUK.
Reformer and Tower each have two modules: introductory, then full certification. The introductory modules can be taken on their own. Enquire for details. If you already hold a Level 3 Matwork qualification from elsewhere, Enquire and we will confirm it meets the entry requirement.
